About the Conference

The Nordic Forum for Dysmelia and Upper Limb Amputation (NFDULA) is a Nordic collaboration established in Örebro, Sweden, in 2000.

The forum has traditionally involved representatives from Norway, Sweden, and Denmark , with responsibility for organising the conference rotating between these countries. NFDULA 2027 is the first conference organised by a joint programme committee with representatives from all five Nordic countries, including Finland and Iceland. For the 2027 conference, ISPO-Nordic has taken on financial responsibility and supports the practical organisation in collaboration with Nordic Congress.

The conference brings together healthcare professionals, researchers, educators, and clinicians working with individuals with dysmelia and upper limb amputation. Participants represent a range of disciplines, including rehabilitation medicine, surgery, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, prosthetics and orthotics, paediatrics, and assistive technology services.

The aim of the conference is to:

  • Promote professional development and knowledge exchange
  • Strengthen Nordic collaboration across professions and healthcare services
  • Share clinical experience, research, and innovation
  • Support improved participation and quality of life for individuals with limb differences

All presentations and scientific sessions will be conducted in English.
